Hi Guys,

Anyone know what the difference is between these two models regarding weight.

I assume the 3000-D is the model up?? But other than the 1200 sporting SRAM and 3000 sporting Shimano and few differences in shocks I dont see anything else.

Any help will be appreciated.

Yeah done that, got the specs from that site and all I noticed in difference was components.

It doesnt tell you if there is a difference in weight though :(

Hard to find detail on the weight of the 3000D, the best I could do when I was doing homework on this was: http://www.merida-bikes.com/fr_ch/bikes/comparison?compareId=8&modelName=ONE-TWENTY+1200-D

The 1200 is 12.6kg and the 1500 is 12.4kg, they don't have the 3000 on there.

It's off the Swiss Merida site which gives the weight for most of their bikes.

The 120 Carbon 3000 is 11.2kg

I settled for the 1500, swopped standard rims to DT Swiss 445's and am extremely happy with the bike, awesome ride.

Thanks! Thats good info..... So the weight difference is minor and I imagine based on components and rims..... no point upgrading my frame... I have the 1200-D and absolutely love the bike. All my mates ride Giants and they were saying my bike was heavy compared to theres, but looks like its 700 gr only.. So still happy with my purchase ;) considering it cost 5k less
