Hector Posted June 20, 2011 Share I have converted my Merida TFS 500 into a SS. Using a 32 front and 15 on the back. Still using my cluster to check what gear I want to use. I now want to remove the cluster and just use the 15 cog that slides onto the free wheel hub. Have any hubers done this and what spacers should I use? Any helpful idea's
Scoe Posted June 20, 2011 Share Done this before, you're luck if you've found tension without a tension seeker!Take your cluster apart, use that 15 cog, and some PVC piping, cut a length for either side of it.Use the last, smallest cog that usually fits on the end of the cluster to lock it on. You can't really use just the lock ring - they work together. You'll need a chain whip and a lockring remover!
