I've got carbon Campy Chorus brake levers that set up a very irritating buzz and rattle. Anyone have the same experience, and how did you sort it? I can't ride with hands on the hoods all the time ...

The buzz/rattle is from a worn grommet behind the brake lever. This grommet is supposed to prevent contact between the two levers but it very quicly flattens. On older levers the grommet is also placed in a silly spot and is not completely effective.

Have a look behind the brake lever and locate the grommet. If it has a rounded or flattened top, it is toast. Replace it. To date I have not found anything at a hardware shop that does the job, only the guinine Campag bit.

It is however ridiculously expensive for such a small piece of rubber.
