I am in the process of selling raffle tickets to help get our boys to this years MXDN (I know not exactly cycling related but use 2 wheels non the less). There are tons of really cool prizes and a kick ass function on offer. I am selling out of the Eastrand so you can collect tickets in the area or you can transfer to my account and I will complete a ticket on your behalf and scan, emailing you the image.

Three of South Africa’s top motocross riders - Tyla Rattray, Gareth Swanepoel and Shannon Terrblanche – have been selected to represent the country at the 2011 Monster Energy Motocross of Nations in France. This event (previously known as the MX des Nations) is the premier event on the international motocross calendar, as it brings together around 40 countries to compete for the top prize in motocross - the Chamberlain Trophy.

 

Last year, due to financial restrictions, SA was not represented at the event for the first time since their first participation in the Des Nations in 1984. To ensure that this situation is not repeated, a large-scale fund-raising initiative has been created to assist with the costs of entering and supporting a team at this year’s event. The initiative, known as Support SA at Motocross of Nations - 2011, will incorporate several different fundraising activities.

 

An exclusive function will be held on Thursday 18 August at the new World of Yamaha in Sandton, Johannesburg. The facility’s state-of-the-art theatre will be used for an auction where valuable international motocross memorabilia will be auctioned off. Catering and entertainment will be provided and guests can enter into a draw to win a flight, car rental, accommodation and a VIP ticket to the 2011 Motocross of Nations sponsored by G2 Trading/Paintmax. Tickets are limited so book your place today.

 

Also, look out for our posters at leading motorcycle dealers who are supporting our initiative by selling raffle tickets. They will be sold at a cost of R100 and will enter you into the draw for amazing prizes that include a weekend for 2 at The Lost Palace sponsored by Sun City; products from supporting suppliers including Venture Sport, TRP, Langston Racing, Jonnesway Tools, IMAS (Silkolene and Talon Products), Bike Product Services, Pulse Racing and Wetherd Clothing among other great prizes.
