Often the delay lies with the organizers as the seeding index can only be updated when they have verified that the results are correct and signed them off

Cycle Lab is at the end of the chain. They depend on the event organisers and the timing companies for the results, so complain to them...

yes, i understand that. I guess its a matter of waiting for the other parties to pull finger - and apply for manual re-seeding every time you enter an event until they do...

It's a real pain. Last year I took out a full race licence but had to race open seeded for the first 5 months of the year because of the delay in updating. Needed just ONE result from the previous year to get a seeding.

Blaming the timing companies doesn't cut it as far as I am concerned. The mtb (SASeeding) seeding results are usually updated within a week - why can't Cyclelab do the same?

anyone know when the cyclelab / seeding ladder will be updated?

I've sent emails, but no reply? supposed to be 1 month after each race not?

Supposed to be 6 weeks but never is. The Wilro data was faulty so they will never use it. They have removed Bela Bela 2010 but not added 2011. Kremetart should have been on already but it is not. I think it is all part of the Racetec take over the world conspiracy

Contact the event orgs and find out if they have signed off on the results. If yes then flame cyclelab, if no then how how is it the fault of cyclelab.

Aside from stronger riders having to time trial their races moving up through the groups and criss crossing past the slower bunches (safety first kids!) -> it is demotivating for the weaker ones too!

I started D2D in GL and a handful of us ended up finishing in the late 2hr 30's ... i remember one gentleman in the bunch saying to his mate as we were climbing past them up past toadbury hall... "**** . look at these guys... well never get that strong - and they started behind us!"

Miff one

Results from the timing co's are up on the net after a few hours - and they supposedly submit them to cyclelab / the index people (whoever they are?) once the organizers have paid them and signed off the results. But really how long can this possibly take? surely there is someone who manages the thing, chases the relevant parties involved?

Believe it or not, D2D although Racetec is not a 94.7 seeding race.

Also Race for Victory 2011 is not either but they will do a manual reseeding for this race (I wonder if that costs me money?)

of course it does... Perhaps the reason why results are apparently not signed off by the organisers?

*plays eerie conspiracy theme music in the background

As i mentioned above - take your results with to registration and try your luck applying for a better seeding (make sure it was a decent size event and timed by racetec / champ chip). If its obvious you're in completely the wrong group, surely the organizers will make a plan for you?

Well thats the plan for Amashova and 94.7 anyways (i have been "seeded" in group J for Amashova - starting about 10 mins after the celeb, mtb, team amashova and comrades groups)

Because Cycle Lab doesn't do the timing, so they only get the results when the timing company passes them on...
