I agree that we're quite a conservative bunch. However, I think internally geared hubs are definitely something to look out for going forward once they can be lightened up a bit. I guess that, for now, we're stuck with deraiileurs...

ja had a chat with him about it.

 

Battled to get a lot of the parts that weren't included(after struggling to source the hub in the first place).

 

then issues getting it to work properly on his vertical dropout frame, and brake issues. so wasn't proper tested and he chose to stick with old faithful two days before.

 

interestingly he hasn't touched it since either!

 

turns that the 11 speed one was sort of withdrawn after he got his, and maybe that's why. not sure of the reason/stroy behind this.
