When setting up a Powertap you connect Pic 2 to Pic 1 as shown below and then mount the little yellow computer on to Pic 2 and then off you go and instantly you start seeing, well in my case the little bit of power I poses. Anyway that's not the point. I would like to know if you can disconnect the two? I've tried with no luck and I don't want to brake it. Is there a way? Can it be done? Windbreaker Posted December 9, 2007 Share I had the same thing and was worried about breaking it but they can be separated. I seem to remember that you need to depress a catch somewhere (I think the bit on the center of pic 1). Jason Posted December 9, 2007 Share Thanks Windbreaker, I see there's a little hole under Pic 2, I just used a nail file to push the button/knob down that you find on Pic 1 (Center) and then it slides off.
