Alex Custom Rims 29er (Camber 29er)

The 2012 specialized camber 29er is coming out with Custom Alex Rims (entry level option). I cannot find any information about these Rims on the net. Please provide me with any feedback you may have, specifically looking for weight and durability info.

Alex is a rim manufacturer, this is what they are really good at.

The rims on the Camber are custom on that one or two small things gets done different, just so that they can slap that "custom" branding on there giving the end user the satisfaction that they are getting something a little more unique (invariably it's the same)

In short, the rims are super durable, the wheels are built in a 3 cross fashion, the hubs are Specialized with sealed cartridge bearings.

 

To conclude, not the lightest 29'er wheelset out there, but super durable.
