Tubeless tyres vs converted tyres

Hi guys

 

I want to get rid of the tubes so now I need to know:

 

do I convert my current tyres (original tyres on Merida Matts 100) or do I buy new tubeless tyres?

 

Your thoughts please...

 

A matts 100 will never be a light bike, so dont worry about spending on a new wheelset it will cost more than the bike, just do a standard stans conversion with proper UST rubber should be around 1.5k and totally worth it.
