Caerus Posted February 6, 2012 Share I've been told you can avoid this by shifting up the casette on the descent - it prevents the derailleur from flexing and the chain from bouncing around whilst you're free wheeling over the bumps. I've always taken for granted that it was correct when I bought it, but I have since changed derailleurs, will this effect chain length as well? Just Keep Pedaling Posted February 7, 2012 Share When you put the chain on do it with the bike in largest cog front and back. It should just fit.
