I got to the top of OKW around 11am - no water. But I hear from guys behind me that when they got there at around 11:30ish there was water. So, credit to PPA for making a plan. Not that they should have run out in the first place, but at least they didn't just say' Oh well, water's finished, let' go home'.

nope, I definitely was not ready for this!! I am more of a runner, have been running for over three years and wanted a new challenge. Did Die Burger - the long route - and loved it. Am training for the argus so wanted to do a few cycles in between for preparation but I had no idea how tough this race would be...espescially in that weather!

That is another thing that would be awesome is when entering, if they told you if the course was suitable for begginers, or for more serious cyclists because even though I read the route, you never quite know how tough it will be! Struggled immensly yesterday...

They didn't name it after a ride at Ratanga Junction... the name should've given you a hint. :whistling:

Did the ride with my wife. She was slow so we only got to the top of OKW at 11h50. The guys there had lots of water and they were a godsend. Thanks PPA for making that plan. I'm not blaming anyone. We only finished at 12h20 so had to expect that the support had gone home, so it was nice to see PPA HAD made a plan for us "tail end charlies"

Those guys at the top of OKW didn't have to stay up there for as long as they did. I for one appreciated that extra mile that they walked
