Reynolds Carbon Brakepads

Hi Guys,

 

I have a set of reynolds assault full carbon wheels. They came with reynolds specific pads and explicitly said that cork pads are not allowed as it will melt the rim. I then bought another set of full carbon wheels but the breaking surface is not treated and used the same pads as on the reynolds wheels. Can I use them on these wheels as well?
