Any decent FS is gonna set you back in the region of 15 gorilla's' date=' 26" or 29". I think the R.I.P.9 is a little less than this and the Titus is a little more

I think you're right here....just by my calculations taking into account what 'R' paid for the EMD9

A friend just moved from a Yeti ASR-SL (FS) to a Niner EMD9 (HT) and he's loving it' date=' but he has issues anyway.

Geez....he seemed like such a stable boy....?

I didn't check out the Hi fi as was thinking that with the bigger wheels a hard tail would be a little more forgiving and do just fine' date=' although yet to ride one.

Been doing some riding this week with the friend Ti mentioned who switched from a Yeti ASR-SL to the Niner EMD 9. He says he's having to get used to riding HT all over again....having to be nore aware of line selection and such.

29ers are more comfortable but 29er HT is still a hardtail!

Do you guys think that 26" inch MTB will eventually give way to 29 ers?

Read TitusTi's signature....maybe not in freeride and downhill, but for xc and trailriding for sure!!!

As I've said before, I owned a Titus Racer X 26er and have spent a good couple hours on Ti's Racer X 29er and the advantages have become more apparent the longer I ride the thing....it's just a matter of time before the world catches on I think!

They've also got a Niner MCR at about 20k - thats the hardtail with the alu frame I think.

Sorry - they (westdene) have the EMD ("eat my dust") cool name. which is the alu frame. Steel frame is the MCR
