Silverback Stride 10 - it an ok entry level buy?

Hi there,

 

I currently have an entry level schwinn (very basic, doesnt have disc brakes even) and I am looking to upgrade slightly but dont have a lot of cash to put in. The guys at my local cycle shop suggested I trade in my Schwinn for R1500 and pay in the extra R2900 for a new Silverback Stride 10.

 

Does anyone know anything about these bikes? Any advice?

Look for some second hand, good condition bikes people tend to upgrade quite fast

and getting 'stuck' with the first.

+1 On looking second hand , but if you Want new.. the Revel is a nice looking bike.... but the best specced will be a Nomad 70 with hydraulic disc brakes for about R2400
