Anybody know why SS timing times most of the MTB races??

I much prefer Race Tec, great timing at Argus MTB challenge... times were uploaded quickly and its easy to find results on their website. Argus was even better with sms updates to supporters and updating facebook too.

SS Timing you have to download a PDF and search it and they have gotten my times wrong more than once.

Who is SS? Slow Speed Timing?

99% of our races in the Western Cape is done by Racetec and they do a pretty good job ... 99% of the time!

SS is Spectrum Sport - a timing company from Vanderbijl. They don't have the resources of Racetec, but I have always found them to do a reasonable job. They are big in triathlon timing. I believe they do the Energade series.

They do a lot of the non PPA mtb events.

Vigne-a-Vigne and Oude Molen for example.

Think wines2whales as well.

I haven't had any problems with them, although I've only done a few events where they have timed.

So they do the other 1% of races ... not a lot of non-ppa races around these days.

Far as I remember, we are still waiting on 2011 Vinge-a-Vinge Results :whistling:

haha, don't think they did that one.

But this year results were up within a day, so no problems there.
