Pilates - How will this help my cycling?

Have been doing it now again for about two months. You can feel the effect after only two or three weeks. With a stronger core I have managed to get rid of my back pain (due to weak stabilizer muscle) and can climb a lot better. Breathing, when pushing hard, is more controlled and relaxed and post-ride sore muscles are just about a thing of the past due to stretching.

Thanks to working muscles that hardly ever see action I've also managed to lose about 5k's in two months.

Ah yes forgot to mention that after 5 weeks off the bike, and about 4 or 5 pilates sessions, I managed to climb a hill near my house that I normally sukkeled up in the granny gear, on the middle ring.

now, I can't prove it's the pilates - but I have a suspicion it's the breathing that did the trick
