Seems a good deal, but I'd usually say for under 10k go for a hardtail te cheaper dual sussers tend to be very heavy and clunky. Also get yourself sized properly it's very unlikely you're "a medium or large", poor bike fit will cause problems later.

I have a hardtail for myself.

Thie dual susser would be abike i plan fitting a kiddie seat to (the kind that fits on the cross bar between my legs) and to make the ride a bit more comfy for the kid.

So sizing not really an issue and it wont be used for anything too serious.

Weight does worry me a bit, as i already am adding a 14 kg child to the bike.

THANKS!

Saved me a cock up.

Appreciate it.

No problem. There are a few others just above your price range under the XC dual section. I have bought two bikes from them. Delivered to your LBS (That stock the brand. They give you a list of options when you order). Good luck. If you are looking for a seat. I use the Weeride. Great seat. My 2 year old loves it!

Hey Wayne - you can get the Weeride Kangaroo carrier (baby seat) @ Sportsmans warehouse in Boksburg or via buycycle.co.za, if you haven't purchased already.

I have the same question.

Looking around R8k. Should I rather get a hard tail or dual susp in that range second hand or new.

Currently have a HD Giant Thermo
