I have the same bike, but I am waiting for the Mavic's. This will be my 4th set of mavic wheels, really love them. SLR with white hub is really going to look nice on that scalpel...

I assume then, That you didn't have problems with them in the past....

then you are the right person to ask about the mavic's High maintenance? spokes / spares available?

The Mavic SLR's do look nice! I've got Mavic on my road bike, and in 4 years no problems, and even serviced any hubs, so they have treated me well.

After breaking many wheelsets I eventually ended up with Mavic SLRs on my Cannondale MTB (26er) and have never looked back, I when I get a 29er I will also be looking at Mavics again.

Maintenance wise, the rear hub free wheel needs to be lubricated every 6 months or so - 10 minute job.

I am currently running THUG's Lefty and project 321 front hub, laced to new ZTR ArchEX 29" hoops with DT Supercomp Spokes. Running same in the rear with a Hope PRO II Evo hub.

For the cost its a super strong wheelset (I weigh 94Kg'a and like to get a bit of air and fast bumpy downhill sections). They may weigh slightly more than the Crests but the new Arch EX is lighter and stiffer than the old Arch, Best value for money I came across while trying to decide what to do for a wheelset for my 29er.
