I'm looking at buying the Merida ONE-TWENTY CARBON 4000-D that is discounted on Cycle Factory. The bikes details:

http://www.merida-bikes.com/en_za/bike/2011/9/MTB+Full+Suspension/ONE-TWENTY+Carbon+4000-D

I have a couple of questions:

1. Does anyone own one of these bikes and have any feedback on it?

2. As I'm in JHB I would need to get the bike here, what are the possible ways to do this?

3. Is there anywhere in JHB that I can see the bike and even better sit on / ride it? Or who are the Merida distributors in JHB. I have checked the net and the Merida website but neither has really yielded anythings.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

1. Have ridden one a couple of times and really enjoyed it. Well-balanced with a great spec. Pedals well and with some patience can get the suspension dialed in to be plush in the rough stuff without sacrificing any of the pedaling goodness. Also ride with two guys who have one of those and the other is on a 3000D. Both of them love their bikes and give them a good thrashing.

2. Time Freight is cheap, but good and very reliable. Ask the guys at CF, they'll be able to make a plan for you. OR...if you really get stuck I can try and make a plan for you as a favor. You'll have to collect from Centurion.

3. Phone Robbie at Cytech. He'll be able to guide you in the right direction

4.2.1 Chances are you won't get a better price and service than from the guys at Cycle Factory.

B. How tall are you? Maybe I can give advise on sizing and fit.
