82% increase in the number of cyclists over the past two years in Sydney

"The City of Sydney Council has released figures which it says show a growing number of people are choosing to cycle to and from work.

 

But the council also says it is facing challenges to expand the city's cycleways because of opposition from the New South Wales Government.

 

The council says the figures, which were collected by independent groups, show an 82 per cent increase in the number of cyclists over the past two years."
