shimano deore shifters - adjust reach?

Morning everybody!

Just bought a new bike with shimano deore components. It doesnt look like it has the rapidfire shifters but I'm not sure of the exact model. it has a small thumb lever for shifting down and the brake lever is pushed down to shift up.

 

Can the reach of the brake lever be adjusted? My hands are small and I'm having trouble reaching the brake lever to brake and to shift up.

Dual shifter . The brake/shifter can be adjusted . Will have to go and have a look at how its done

Thanx! I found it. there's a small knob next to the brake lever arm that one can turn with a 2mm hex key to adjust the reach.
