Does anybody know, or can anybody confirm if there will be a "JOCK" Fleece jacket included in the price of the 3-stage entry fee for this year's JOCK race??

In the "More Information.pdf" they mention this, but when you ask the people at Cycle Events, some say yes and the other say no...or just don't know

E-mails have been sent to them to confirm if this will be included (as per the information .pdf file), but with no luck yet!!!

Please see below the "copy" (and file attached) of what they claim to be included in the Entry fee...if someone can confirm or deny this for us PLEASE???

And if so, will they be included in the Goody Bags, or at the end of the Race??

If NOT, please take it of the "Information.pdf" file, as you will have MANY angry riders who read this and will ask "WHY NOT"!!!

What your 3-stage entry includes:

Breakfast in Nelspruit after the 1st stage

Lunch in Kaapmuiden after the 2nd stage

Free long sleeved special edition Jock T-shirt

Free Jock Fleece Jacket

Goody bags with nutritional supplements and other rider aids

Some of the best waterpoints and local hospitality you’ll ever experience

Well marshaled roads

Excellent race control

Great camaraderie!

Lovely Lowveld sunshine

WOW...really???? I will keep that in mind...he he he...and try to keep some legs (and some GU / Vooma...he he he) for the last stage - I have seen the profile and it's "almost" all the way uphill  ...we did the Kremetart on 9th June (after stage 1 and 2 we almost gave up, because of the HELL of a wind we had...eish - but I must say we really enjoyed stage 3 and 4  )...I was not sure if we should even TRY The Jock...but at the end said "let's do it" :w00t: "mad" as we are...I hope and pray we succeed...LOL - did not want to wait another year to think about Jock 2013...ha ha ha.

Cool...see you there...I just hope it's a nice bunch of folk at the back...because you need some inspiration and words of encouragement from the rest of the cyclist :( otherwise it's gonna be a "NO FINISH"...but every meter is closer to the finish than the meter :)

Keep well...be safe...and thanx again for the reply...It makes me feel better :D

Done the Jock 3 times and every time the final stage to me was the hardest - maybe I had blown by then !!! ;)

If its not included at registration, they will be dealing with many, MANY angry cyclists, so I very much doubt they will not stick to their original plans. This was afterall one of the 'special' enticements to get race entries was it not?

Not so much race entries - I guess more for people to take the chance of all 3 stages and not part take in one or 2 :)

Entered, but not booked accommodation yet.

Any suggestions of decent establishments to use?

It's my first time at JOCK and staying at my sister and "swaer" in Nelspruit...sorry can't help you there.

But, I'm sure there are many places to stay...maybe Google Barberton or Nelspruit Accommodation (or something similar)?

As far as I know there are many B&B, Lodges, etc. in that area...depends on what your needs are :D

Or start a topic on this issue on THE HUB??

I am sure many other guys would also like to have an idea of where to stay...AND ALSO where NOT to stay!!!

Best of luck...should be an awesome race...only 24 days to go
