I agree. Its only a bicycle race at the end of the day. Some of the best memories I have are from those days, both off & on the bike!! What was your mates name again?? The Italian guy?? I loved him!! Remember that night at Joe Cools when Chunky drank 65shooters, and all those guys wanted to kill us?!?! That was hilarious!!!And your mate was still trying to take off his belt in case we got in trouble?!?!?

AB, how goes it? I remember racing the devil agaisnt you at provincial champs. It was between you and me when we got the bell. I will have a look for the podium pics. (Sorry you are on step 2 in the pic, I took you long in the sprint from when we got the bell) I also have some pics of the know how the podium did not collapse with you and chunky on it, HA HA.

ABE, I went to do the JHB GP in Nov.(first time on the track since 99) In the DEVIL, I said to Sheldon Bole "lets do this like we (U me & Norm) used too!"

Hey Simon, I remember you with your frikking long hair, but I am sure Sheldon never kicked it old school on the track with the likes of Norman. Did I ever race against you on the track, you were more of a sprinter from what I remember.

Provincials are some time in March I think.

 

Carla's gone into forced semi-retirement, she is 6 months pregnant.

Gary, you and I never raced outside of junior ranks. You went to study in PE? I stayed in JHB. I was more of a sprinter, won the occasional points race and such.

 

Sheldon never mixed it old school with us, but he could go when he wanted to. At the selection meet in 99 he went from the gun with SHORTLEGS and they lapped the field. Sheldon was a very decent rider back then.

Yeah, Sheldon is from the same mold as his Dad, always willing to give it a go, and sometimes it paid off handsomely.

 

Don't ever confuse PE with Grahamstown. We drank way more at Rhodes that they ever could in PE
