Why don't we identify one and contact them. find out what it is they need before and on the night collect items like food or blankets and of course Mooney... Your "entry" might be a can of food or something! (although just pitching up for the ride is awesome ) We can then nominate a different charity every month... As for the route and the ride, you will always have people doing what they what to do and that might not sit well with others, if they cause a problem that will have to be responsible for their own... We were thinking of making flyers so when we stop cars at the lights we can inform them of our ride by handing out the fliers... The handing over to the charity should be put in the local papers,not to show how "oulik" we are but this could raise awareness of cycling in Pretoria and should make motorist understand our ride... Working on a route. The biggest issue with church square is the traffic. the traffic is not the same as in the suburbs(i know safety in numbers)... the union buildings is great but the best route there might have some people off their bikes pushing... (working on this one! watch this space!!)

Union buildings is fab idea - just feels right to include it in the route but understand the logistics to get there are a bit more complicated especially when you there is lots of cyclists and lots of cars. Really enjoyed the route last month for what its worth. Am sure all who join for the ride would be willing to donate something and every bit counts no matter how big or small! Cant wait for this one... (but yet AGAIN race day on sat might put a rude halt on the evenings 'after kuier'.... )
