Where is the best place to mount it. I have seen some footage with it on the handle bar, front shock and the back of the bike facing the rear? Anyone keen to share their opinions.

It can also depend on how right the trail is.

If the trail is really fast and bumpy then handler/anywhere on the bike is going to give the viewer motion sicknesses, that's if they can even decipher the blur. In fact, after reviewing or recent France DH footage (fast bumpy trails), i noticed that even the chesty isn't ideal. It bounces around a lot, even when harness is super tight, and if you don't put those little white plugs in the mount, you'll hey an irritating "click" noise right throughout the vid.

For best pic quality, a cameraman on a zip-line wins... But most of us don't have that, so helmet mount is next best thing. Your neck is a natural shock absorber and stabiliser for your head, and the difference in quality between helmet and chest/bike mount is vast
