yes. they sh1te.

Very complicated and finicky to set up.

Rather save up for a powertap or something similar.

To make myself clear though - I used one of the older models,I Bike pro.

try the polar setup, it works well on the IDT, its within 7% accurate, they say. Its easily transferable between bikes, not too useful for MTB, it works for the road.

I used a power trap for two rides on a friends bike, with the polar and the averages were the same, but the power trap reacts far more quickly and the peaks are higher. I think the polar runs a 7 to 10 sec, average, between data/display points.

Its the cheapest and most sensitve option.

I agree with rattlesnake that the original iBike Pro was finicky to set up. But that was 7 years ago.

The Newton, just introduced in June 2012, is the first complete redesign of the original iBike. Digital sensors, integrated rechargeable battery, full wireless, even better accuracy, and improved software are all major improvements. And yes, the Newton is much easier to set up and not at all finicky now.

I disagree with kennyg; the Newton is much less expensive than the Polar, and the Newton is far more sensitive.

The wheels of progress keep turning; check out the Newton at www.ibikesports.com, and get user reviews at www.ibikeforum.com
