“Every child has a right to dream!” This is a statement that resonates through the heart of the Reach For A Dream Foundation. In the last 24 years, Reach For A Dream, a non-profit organization, has fulfilled dreams of children between the ages of 3 and 18 faced with life-threatening illnesses. This is quite a legacy for an organization that reaches out to children of all income groups and of any race, colour or creed. As a foundation we always seek new ways of engaging the community in our efforts to raise funds for the fulfillment of these dreams, hence we are celebrating that the Dream Riders will be on the road again, for the 6th year in a row, in the Momentum 94.7 cycle race on Sunday 18 November 2012.

Bronwyn Feldwick–Davis, Reach For A Dream’s Projects and Marketing Manager said, “We are so excited to be in our 6th year of Dream Riders. Our target this year is to raise R1 000 000 for Dreams, which will make this our biggest fundraiser. Nedbank is once again sponsoring all the hospitality and rider kits, for which we are so grateful. This allows all the money raised by the cyclists to go directly to dreams and projects and not expenses. We want to appeal to all cyclists to please consider riding for Reach For A Dream.”

Anyone can ride for us. By joining our team you commit to raising at least R1 200 in sponsorship and donations. 100% which goes to fulfilling dreams of sick children. Our goal this year is to have 500 riders cycling for a purpose. Reach For A Dream believes that no child should live without hope. Childhood can be the most magical phase of the human existence, filled with dreams, aspirations and most of all… fun!

We commit to providing our cycling team with a charity start time of 8:23, dream rider cycling shirt, 2 water bottles, 2 hospitality tents with drinks, snacks and massage therapists and an invitation to our appreciation cocktail evening a week before the event.
