frame upgrade

Hi do u guys think its worthwhile upgrading my silverback vida 1 2013 frame to a santa cruz super light. What else is available in this price range??

bought a 2012 vida 2 and cracked the frame at the top tube,it was replace with a vida 1 2012 it cracked at the chain-stay. They will now replace it with a 2013 vida 1. i am just not sure about the strength of the frames.
