Out of sheer desperation I took advantage of what appeared to be a break in the monsoon that has been in Pta for the last two weeks

I took out the Orca, resplendent in new white Fizik Arione and new bar tape, for a well deserved pedal.

Did about 10km in Pierre van Ryneveld in relative dryness, headed towards Hans Strydom and nearly drowned in the downpour from Aerosud to just past the quarry, headed down Hans Strydom toward AFB (dry), started the drag toward the base (downpour).

This was the pattern for the next hour, intermittent patches of wet and dry.

This happen elsewhere?

Was still great to ride for almost 2 hours for a change

Hey Wolverine, it rains like that in England...

Considering this country's intermittent power supply, inability to repair potholed roads and faulty traffic lights (for weeks!), ongoing revelations of corrupt top cops, ridiculously high violent crime rate, and a president-in-waiting that thinks a shower can eradicate a pandemic virus, it might actually be worthwhile moving there...

noticed it as well while spending two and a half hours in traffic yesterdayOuch one moment its dry, the next its raining so hard you can't see the car in front and then there was also the neverending drissle.

At least the time I spent staring out the door while on rollers, the weather seemed ok.
