The thought had crossed my mind!

Seriously. I have a Hope clamp and will try it tomorrow. Have a tube of Tackx Carbon Assembly Compound and will apply as instructed in this Thread.

The Hope clamp looks the business. Solid.

Got a Hope clamp and the seat is still sagging. Applied carbon assembly paste and now seat post creaks like mad and still slips! I'll try the Coke shim now and if that doesn't help ...
