Dear Cyclist

Cranky Monkey is proud to announce the official launch of the South African Ride Buddy Network.

This online social network was developed to encourage:

A safer cycling community in South Africa by helping cyclists find other riders who want to ride: at the same time, in the same area, with similar skill levels, similar training objectives and cycling goals.

The site uses very basic open source software call "Ning" and is very similar to "Face Book".  Once you have signed in to become a member, you complete a short cycling related questionaire.  On completion, you can then browse the site to:

Do keyword searchs to find member profiles that contain certain words, eg. "Weltevreden Park" if you are looking for a Ride Buddy in your area.

Add friends to your profile - These would be people with profiles that appeal to you.

Start a discussion or post a comment under a specific category in the Forum

Add photos and videos

The more members we have using the site, the better your chances are of finding new interesting people with whom to ride.  Please feel free to invite anyone to join.
