Stupid cycling supporters

On my way yesterday to The Fast One for a cycling meeting I had this absoulute hair raising experience.

 

Some cycling supporters like to be total idiots and stop all over the show to spectate. One point is at Nampak where these assholes stop on the Highway.

 

At the spot I reduced speed as i came up to the cars next to the highway and the next minute someone in an silver/grey Mercedes pulled out into the left lane while still watching the cyclists go by. I had to make an emergency stop thanks to ABS that really works.

 

I do not think the driver of this vehicle even realised what he has done.

 

To top it all he had these huge Cyclelab ladies cycling banner on his car. What an adverisement for our sport.

i agree it's in the wrong category but yep, there are some utter effers out there... in the support car we encountered 2 memorable ones:

 

WHITE MITSUBISHI PAJERO REG STM304GP

folks, if you're this guy's buddy who had mechanical problems kindly advise him that you were NOT the only cyclist on the road and that killing the rest of the cyclists is NOT acceptable.

 

BLACK NISSAN NAVARA TCK779GP

if you are the cyclist the F*CKNUT was going to fetch kindly refrain from EVER asking this @#$^&@#$%^% #$^&* piece of CR@P to come anywhere near cyclists again. if he has to, kindly ensure that he is in a sound state of mind to do so - ie bloodshot eyes with pupils dilated beyond imagination is a clear indication of not being in a state to be behind the wheel of a car, let alone behind the wheel of a car surrounded by cyclists.
