Totalsports Challenge Gordonsbay

I'm doing my first Challenge on the 12th of Jan, starting in Gordonsbay. Doing the Terra Firma (4 legs).

 

They say that you need at least two vehicles to assist you in the transitions. Won't one vehicle help. Plan is that my wife drive to all the transitions to meet me there.

 

Another question, is it better to run the beach run with shoes or barefeet?

one vehicle is more than enough for the terra firma. just make sure the wife is trained in putting bikes on and off. let her drop you off at the start and GO. the sand is granular... i am a wuuuss i g with the shoes but MANY go barefoot

Can you pick up your racepack on the day of the race?

According to their website, you have to register in Cape Town.

We'll be on holiday in Hermanus.

Can't see why I have to drive all the way to Cape Town in the week to get my number.

Does anyone know what the bike restrictions are regarding Time Trial bars, wheels, helmets, etc?
