I have been riding a trek fuel ex 8 full floater for three years and love it.

Now I want to add a 29er to my stable. My question is should I go hard tail or full suspension.

The salesman from a couple of stores that I've been too are trying to convince me that i Don't need the rear shock on a 29er.

Any thoughts would be appreciated

Whatever you get told that a 29er hardtail makes up for the rear suspension on the bike is talking out their poo hole.

Poke the salesman in the eye with middle finger fully extended, show him the said finger first.

I just got me a new Giant XTC composite 29er and love it.

A hardtail is a hardtail is a hardtail, that bump is still there and goes through your arse, up your spine to the base of your brain.

In saying this I love my new bike, get the hardtail and keep the 26" duallie for fun of a different kind.

the question is what do you want to do with the new bike. Will you do long rides like transbaviaans, sani, 3 day stage race or is this for sunday 40km ride?

Haha. jokes aside. What races do you do and the km's. Do you do the 40, 75 or 100 plus

i have been doing the fourties for two years now,and my average is about two hours, this year coming I want to up my game for the seventies and do a couple of stage races .

if you r realy going to do 70 and stage races the I would go for a fs. If you are comfy with the 26 fs the go 29 fs. 29 ht is a 29 ht.
