Bikes Stolen in Kirstenhof, Cape Town. Please Help.

I woke up this morning to go and ride the Ride 4 Vision race out in Fish Hoek. Bastards had forced open the garage door and stolen both my road and mountain bike. Gutted. If anyone has any idea where they would try and off load these bikes, please PM me urgently. See attached pics.

Send pic to cash crusaders and cash converters head offices with seriel numbers if you have them I know cash crusaders warn there stores. Also vist the local plumstead bike store during the course of next week. I believe a couple of people have got lucky there before.

Fortunately they are! And specified - so hopefully no nonsense. I haven't claimed in years and I hear Alexander Forbes are very good...so lets see how that unfolds.

I also have an old postman bike and a 1990's tandem in the garage...but the buggers obviously know whats worth the big money. Its taken me ages to get the bikes specced to their current state. Ek is lekker die moer in!

My Makulu was stolen using the same MO. They forced open my gate and garage door on xmas eve. There's obs someone operating in the area. Also in Kirstenhof.

Sorry to hear that, 3 months ago they forced my garage open too and stole my racing bikes..i claimed from the insurance and they mentioned that its a syndicate in all areas as they know cycling is a growing sport so these guys are watching us..they know exactly when to hit.

 

The assesor told me this syndicate actually sends the bikes to the far east.

 

So i hope you reported it to the police already, got a case number, as you'll need it to claim.

 

Since then, i put locks on the inside of my garage and implemented alarms.

My KTM is a full carbon frame with an integrated seat-post - so it would be very awkward to sell it as is... I've been to the police and have the case number, so lets see how that goes. Its a pity its Sunday today as I'm quite helpless ito insurance claims and going to my LBS for assistance. Fortunately my Epic partner has loaned me his spare bike to train on for this week.
