Hi fellow hubbers,

I finally going to watch the Tour de France live for the first time.... very very exited ! But i need to know more "Details" of the actual stages so i can plan where to position myself so i can see them race by with the speed of light !!!

The official website isn't much help as there are not enough details and i was wondering if theres a site where i can view the actual stage in full details like "Detailed profile" (All the bumpes and corners), Starting times (very important) etc.

Any help would be much appreciated !

From a very exited Hubber

Very jealous that you're going to be there. But congrats, I'm sure it will be incredible.

If I somehow got the opportunity, I'd build my whole trip around 1 day: stage 18 and the double climb of Alpe d'Huez.

And I would make sure I'm at Dutch Corner (hairpins 6 & 7) for the whole show.

Since the party starts on the Alpe and Dutch Corner up to 5 days before the race even gets there, that's why I say I'd build my entire trip around that one event.

I would get there 3 days before and then stay right there on the mountain in the middle of the party until the big day comes. It means getting there on the 2nd rest day, then missing stages 16 and 17 live - not really that much of a loss. Anyway, there will be so many TV screens on the mountain that you won't miss the action.

Every time the Alpe hosts an estimated 500,000 people on those 21 hairpin bends. This year with the double climb, estimates are that the crowds will be even bigger. Unbelievable.

On Thursday 18th July, that one mountain will become the centre of the world for a couple of hours.

And at the centre of the centre will be Dutch Corner.

F~~k, F~~k, F~~k, I can't believe I can't be there.

You guys - rider3000 and lpeens - please, please take millions of photos and when you get back, let us know what was like.
