Garmin Edge 800 and elevation

hi all

 

Can someone please give me advice as to where im going wrong with this unit? When plotting a course from A to B, the software on the pc tell me i will ride x km and the map shows the route clearly.

 

What it does not show is how many meters i would have climbed/decended should i want to ride this route. It will only show AFTER i have ridden and not before?

 

Am i missing something here or is it just the program. My mates Bryton can tell him before he has ridden the route. I have sent an email off to Garmin Connect but still waiting for response.

Try to export you route to google earth and check it that way
