How do I bleed My MTB brakes ?

I busted My front brake lever (Shimano) on My MTB , I removed the broken one and fitted the new lever Yesterday. How do I bleed the system and what oil must I use , Please Help Guys .

btw, I used mineral oil bought from Midas, can't remember the name, can check later tonight at home, think it's Castrol LHM+, same type as used in Citroen - much cheaper than the Shimano mineral oil. http://www.peterverdone.com/archive/bikemineraloil.htm
