Oh and here is the aftermath of that wheel lock as well. Tyre only did 488km till date and now I'm stuck with that semi flat spot Oh well not as if I'll notice that on the bumpy gravel roads I usually ride in any case but still ticks me off.

Indeed it is but that is my old bike I don't ride anymore that is gathering cobwebs as we speak. Plan on fixing her up with time for the family members to use once in a blue moon

 

@Cassie yes I'm guilty of that as well but then I life in a dead end street with no traffic to speak of and I always look before I turn. Here was most likely a case of no lights behind me = no car behind me mentality so it is safe to oh S##$!

To solve the problem of forgetting to switch on your light fit a day / night switch to it . You will never be in the dark again .
