Hi guys I hope I'm posting in the right place but I need help with regard to wheels. A friend of mine is starting with cycling but he is a big guy, almost 140kg what road bike wheel will hold his weight!

We had 105 wheels but it buckled today after a small encounter with the pavement

I'd steer clear of boutique style wheels @ 140kg.

Rather look at having a bombproof set built.

Something with strong rims and 36+ spokes ... maybe even something more tandem orientated.

Hi.

I weigh over 140kg and ride Eastons umong others.

Let me know and I'll be sure to put you onto a few that has worked for me. I had a tandem wheelset build which didnt last. I have been through many sets of wheels an the Eastons just seem to last.
