Shimano WH500 ..will it work for a Heavy??

Gators are great for puncture resistance but you will feel like you are dragging a freight train. I took my bike in for service once and needed new tires. Bike shop put Gators on. One ride and I took them off. Use them on the trainer now. I had them on for ages and they never wore out. Recently the one delaminated of sorts. Put an old Continental Force on the trainer as a replacement and few rides it is showing some wear.

 

Tyres, I would go for the Specialized ones. I also have a set of Armadillos. great for puncture resistance and comfort but without the freight train feeling of Gators.
