34 FLOAT 29 140 FIT CTD w/Trail Adjust

Am looking at the Fox 34 FLOAT 29 to install on my 25" Ventana.

Can anyone give me any advice? Apparently the extra 2mm on the stanchions makes a massive difference on stiffness?

Do it. I'd suggest a 36 if you're an aggressive rider (and if Fox made them in 29") but the 34 should do you fine. The difference in stiffness over a 32mm is quite marked.

 

Your other option would be a Marzocchi 55, but you'll pay a bit of a weight penalty. If durability's an issue, the Marz wins hands down.

I would go with 34, but I don't think you will have a problem riding 32 either - got a couple of heavyweight mates at about 115kg riding standard 32mm forks without issues - even during the Epic this year.
