Scary thoughts and situations, especially if you think that we have skipped spring and went straight to summer (>30deg C). Sometimes a rider will be out on the track all on his own during an event. Who is going to assist if something happens (fainting, heat stroke, over the bars, down a steep descent, etc.) and no one is there to witness and help (thinking of VG a few weeks ago).

Got this small siren (>100db) for each family member. To activate simple means pulling a pin out of the alarm using a mini hand loop that could be attached to the wrist (almost similar concept to safety cutt-out used on wetbikes and ski boats). To deactivate, replace pin into alarm. One can set it up in such a manner that it is activated the moment you do an unplanned dismount of your bike.

Next goodie bag surprise item maybe.......?

Good that you are okay.

and great to hear someone helped you. fantastic. such a great feel good story to read on a Thursday morning.. (it is Thursday hey)

I can't compare roadies and Mtb-ers cause I have never participated in Road riding/racing/whatever, but can say this whenever I have either had a mechanical or fallen, the MTB-ers always come ask if I'm okay and if I need help. And we do do the same.
