Hi Guys and Gals

I'm new to cycling and have bought a CS400 to review my training sessions and then help progress. Other than reading the manual which does show you what to do to a certain degree i'm not sure how to put the theroy into practice and use my new toy properly.

Does anyone have any suggestions or recommend someone to talk to so that i can get the most out of it?

Cheers

Thanks for the answer. I am definitely reading the manaul but i saw guys on the some forums talkng about sending each other polar profiles of  certain rides so was wondering if there is maybe some kind of guru that knows all the ins and out of the CS400.

I suppose all the ansers will come in time after trial and error.

Cheers again.

Do you know how to train with a HR monitor? If not then first determine your zones. Go out and ride for about 20 minutes. Then do a spring as hard/faast as you can go untill it feels like you're gonna pass out. That will determine your maximum hr. Now eraly one morning before you get out of bed, put on the strap and get your resting hr. Now, to determine your %. Take ((max - min) x %) + min = % of max. Now you just need to work out when you want to train between 40-60% or 80-10%.

get hold of the distributors of Polar Products, not sure of their name right now (do a search on the hub)

They run regular courses on how to get the most out of your polar ito training zones, guides, analysis etc.

Really good and will add a new dimension to your training.

Then after a year, you will start reading the power training forums and long for one for yourself.
