  1. I'm selling my grinder: Eureka Mignon Specialita Chrome, 5 months old, domestic use only (6-8 shots a day) As new condition, with original box and packaging. JHB Area. R9500 https://onlinecoffeeshop.co.za/shop/coffee-grinders/grind-on-demand-coffee-grinders/eureka-mignon-specialita-chrome-finish/ PM me or mwilliams at mwebdotcoza , oh83 63 triple 2 19
  2. Just remember that you need an iphone to activate the benefit (on the app) But once that's done, you dont need it anymore
  3. Anyone know of any JHB (West/North) shops that have food grade lubricant? For use after cleaning an E61 group
  4. I've just upgraded (yes, I have a problem) so my Jura is up for sale: https://za.jura.com/en/homeproducts/Machines/E8-INT-15268-Piano-Black Jura E8, excellent condition, 2.5 years old, serviced/cleaned/descaled regularly, only used medium roast beans (so no oily dark roast that causes problems), always used filtered water as well. Used the milk steam attachment all of twice (we only drink Americanos at home) New they are R22 - 24k, I'm looking for R11k. If you add in the milk cooler (https://www.takealot.com/jura-cool-control-basic-0-6l/PLID51972816?gclid=Cj0KCQjwreT8BRDTARIsAJLI0KIeyDh0Xh8EiVBd7X--f9gkleDpRSV-wJOKqXoN-yIGRQRH85q6ensaAjJ1EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds) for R2k you have a 1-touch setup for all styles of drinks.
  5. So did you take the plug off your machine then? I was hoping for a female plug option. But I've also got a POW2 on my pool pump.
  6. Yup, I don't know where you'll find one to handle that machine, I can't find one above 10amp max...
  7. Is anyone using a wifi plug / smart switch to control their machines (that take a while to warmup)? Looking for options
  8. has anyone bought from them before? Good pricing, especially on grinders
  9. I am by no means an expert on this, but I'm in the same boat - looking to upgrade from my Jura Auto to a manual. So many things to consider - aesthetics, size, ease of use (for wife) and my list is 5 times as long. Think I've settled on the Lelit MaraX with Eureka Mignon - think it ticks a lot of boxes
  10. It gets pretty good reviews on Amazon, worth checking out I think
  11. I use the inverted method: 1 scoop freshly ground coffee, just off boiling water (I'd guess 90c) up to just about full. Use their supplied 'spoon' to stir for 15 seconds, then poor some more hot water over the spoon into the AP (this just helps with cleaning up) till it's full. Leave for 90 seconds. Put cap and SS filter on. Invert onto a cup, push down slowly (I use the pressure of my arm) takes about 20 seconds. Stop just before it's almost down - don't compress the puck. I split this between 2 cups for Americanos for SO and I.
  12. Going down this rabbit hole now... how important/useful are some of the accessories? Distributor? Tamping stand? Scale? Will I eventually end up buying these? Or are they just nice to haves?
