patches Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Don't worry ... I might be stupid, but not that stupid! Have settled into and made peace with the 50mm for now ... just curious about the 60mm. Best solution is just to go wider on the bars from a 710mm to a 740/750mm wide bar I think What... 710mm... sheesh, you can probably fit between the bars in palasade fencing with that! Get 760-ish... it'll make a huge difference!

patches Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 My moto came with an 85mm stem and 680mm carbon bars. I took the bars off straight away, before they were used! I then put 740mm wide, 20mm rise Spank Spoons on (and used the 85mm stem while I waited for my 50mm Easton). Then when I switched the Moto out for the Intense I put 760mm wide, 10mm rise, Renthal Fatbars on. Really awesome steering aparatus, them Renthals. Currently 740mm is the narrowest bar I run.710mm (30mm rise) Spank Royala's (tomatch the OP's stem) - Spare/Loan outs740mm (20mm rise) Spank Spoons - Spare/Loan outs740mm (10mm rise) Zoo bars - Trials bike740mm (20mm rise) Renthal Fatbar Lite - Trail Hardtail740mm (20mm rise) Renthal Fatbar Lite - 4X/BJ bike760mm (10mm rise) Renthal Fatbar on - AM bike780mm (20mm rise) Renthal Fatbar - DH bikeBut yeah... don't think I could ever go less than 740 on a small bike, and 760 on a bigger bike.
