Guest DieBees Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 (edited) We have a Ravo, frame was R8k and we spent a lot on wheels and groupset. Total bike set us back about R35k. Not too much info that is available out there when we enquired. Stock is also a problem and most suppliers cant supply at the moment. (Frames and complete bikes) Maybe it changed since we upgraded. As for budget, let see what is out there. Nothing wrong with your Raleigh. Good solid Kinesis frame. I suspect that Kinesis makes/made the Commondale frames as well. The Shimano LX wide flange hubs on the Raleigh tandems are top notch. Nothing wrong with the 105 shifters. You can upgrade the brakes. We have Avid Arch Rival v-brakes on our tandem and they are very very good. They are not made anymore. Edited November 17, 2013 by Big H*
