Chapman's Peak, rideable on a MTB at the moment?

I realize that Chappies is closed to traffic after all the mudslides, but does anybody know if you can get through on a MTB? Wanting to do a Peninsula loop on Sunday riding from Noordhoek side to Hout Bay. Possible? Allowed?

Can do it on a road bike.

 

NB:

 

Keep to the left lane - some cyclists cut corners as there is no traffic but forget there are other cyclists

 

Road is officially closed.

 

Cant see why they do not open it for cyclists - maybe drop Entilini a polite e-mail with a request
