XC Marathon partner needed 2014

Hi there everyone,

 

My first post on here, but hoping to find a xc marathon partner to team up with in 2014 for a few races competing in either male pair or mixed pair categories.

 

Not completely new to cycling/mtbing, but its taken a back seat for the last decade. Taking a career break after 10yrs in the British Military. So in pretty good shape but need to recapture race fitness.

 

Currently in London but got a base in Durban as well. Thinking of choosing a few races like Andalucia Bike Race, Joberg2c, Cyprus Sunshine Cup, La Rioja Bike Race, Transpyr, TransAlp, Lesotho Sky. Open to other suggestions as well, obviously the European as well as the local SA scene have many more great races to consider.

How are you going to finance all those races?

Take a selection of them...ideally 2-3 spread through the course of the season. Self finance...as I said I am taking some time out after a pretty busy 10-15 yrs.

 

The point of mentioning all the events is to give prospective partners an idea of what sort of event I am interested in and then have a chat about a few of them.

Some stage races cater for Solos, like J2C.

 

And then there is all the one-day MT events, like the MTN series, most are very worth doing, the Ultras are a real test (not that I have ever done one, but others here who have will concur)
