We used q-bond on part of my car's cracked thermostat or something like that. That was in 2010, still works perfectly today.

 

Also used pratley's to fill additional holes in my old old laser's aluminum mast section, which got sanded smooth after. No problems if there's not too much movement.

 

Doubt you will go wrong with q-bond or pratleys. I would use some epoxy personally though.
